Even with computers, the maxim “cleanliness is next to Godliness”. Keep your hard drive free of unecessary files. There are plenty of applications you can buy or downoad that clean out all your temporary folders, as well as files that serve no useful purpose. Next, and equally important, is to defragment your drive regularly. Think of your hard drive as your garage. You can just take all the junk you have accumulated and toss it in there, and close the door. Everything is stored away fine, until you need that one tool you really need, or that one picture your wife wants to hang in your guest room. Now you have to start pulling junk out until you find what you are searching for. On the other hand, if you take the time to put all your tools in one box, the paintings on a certain shelf, etc., throwing out trash as you come across it, what you end up with is a garage that is organized, you will find you have extra space, and finding things you need is a snap. The same applies to a hard drive: keep it clean of junk, and organize (defragment) it regularly, and you will help your PC find what it needs to run your apps significantly faster. www.rnssystems.com |
